The history of the restaurant U Medvídků dates back to 1466. In the past century the original brewery was converted into the first Prague cabaret and also into the one of the biggest beer hall in Prague. Today there are every Friday and Saturday evening programs. The beer is still being processed here by means of historical technologies. Aside from the 13°half-dark lager Old Gott the beer-house has produced one more rarity – the 31° beer with alcohol volume of 16%. The museum is situated in the vaulted cellar of the House of Beer.

The family brewery in Chodová Planá was built on ancient cellars cut in granite massif. The origin of the cellars is connected with the beginning of a little local castle. That time is also linked with a tale about dog Albi which found a well with a plentiful spring of water in the neighbourhood of the castle. Dog Albi has been considered a good spirit of the local brewery cellars for centuries. Thus the dog’s picture was also decorating the emblem of the local malting guild for a long time.

The Královský Pivovar Krušovice (the Royal Brewery of Krušovice) is one of the oldest and at the same time one of the most advanced breweries in the Czech Republic. The first reference to the brewing of beer in Dětenice dates back to the year 1307 under the rule of Beneš of Dětenice and Valdštejn. Count Clam-Gallas built in the year 1790 the brew house building with its lager cellars, fermenting room, and ice-house next to the Old Cellar. For centuries the Dětenice château beer was a jewel in the crown of Bohemian beers. New owners reintroduced the tradition production of beer according to the ancient and miraculous recipe of the rapacious knight Arthur, returning the brewery to its original state in the process. In the old cellar is now Mediaeval tavern. celebrated throughout Europe, plays and sings in the brewery to warm up the atmosphere.
